School Days Exhibition

Starting on Wednesday 12th June, our next display – SCHOOL DAYS will be running until September. Open every Wed. & Sun. 12 – 4pm.

History & photos of Newburgh, Abdie, Flisk & Dunbog schools.

Over the years, Newburgh has had the Parish School, many private schools, Madras Female School, Junior Secondary, Higher-Grade, Primary & Nursery School.

Headteachers dating back to 1631. Class photos from 1900-2000.

Alexander Laing & his Uncle John Anderson were involved in establishing the Madras Female School.

We also have 2 folders with over 200 school photos (mostly named but still looking for some names, we welcome any information on these).
