Mr Alistair Guild from Edinburgh sent the Society a sizable donation made by “The Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren of James Harrower Guild, born in Lindores and proud Chairman of The Tayside Floorcloth Company in the 1950s”.
We are extremely grateful to the family as this donation will help with the upgrading of our facilities and the enhancement of visitor experience.
After a few years absence the Scarecrow competition was back in Newburgh. Our entry was “The Laing Star” a pun on the “Lone Star”! There was a great selection of scarecrows all over the town. The winning entry was the Tiger.
